Promising Altcoins (Part II)
13th October, 2018
In our previous article we examined the cryptocurrency charts looking for still unpopular projects, whose concept and successful execution could translate into successful future. Today we go up the rankings to share few of our favorite altcoins that already have the recognition of the crypto community and the market support that goes with it. While their price has multiplied in time, they still represent a good entry point for someone weighing in an altcoin investment. One of the world’s most popular cryptocurrency is currently trading at just $0.40, allowing participation regardless of the investor’s bank account holdings. Another advantage, the endless potential of the underlying technologies to change in very near future the every-day operation of industries, businesses and households.
Quick disclaimer
Altcoins could represent intriguing and profitable investment, but please remember that while trading cryptocurrencies could earn you a good amount of money, you could also suffer a serious loss due to their volatility and unregulated framework. You should always perform a thorough personal research before investing.

Many hopes have been placed on market leaders such Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin and there is no question they are deserving front runners. But today we would look past them and towards the bigger picture.
Stellar #6 (XLM) Stellar is an open-source, distributed payments infrastructure. It is a technology that connects people, payment systems, and banks with a focus on the developing world. It facilitates multi-currency and asset transactions quickly, reliably, and for a fraction of a penny by using a crypto-asset called Lumens (XLM) as a bridge. Stellar’s basic operation is similar to that of most decentralized payment technologies. But a shortened process has made Stellar’s network extremely fast and capable to process as many as 1,000 network operations per second. For more information visit https://www.stellar.org/
TRON #11 (TRX) TRON is dedicated to building the infrastructure for a truly decentralized Internet. The TRON Protocol, one of the largest blockchain-based operating systems in the world offers scalability, high-availability, and high-throughput computing (HTC) support that serves as the foundation for all decentralized applications in the TRON ecosystem. It also provides better compatibility for Ethereum smart contracts through an innovative, pluggable smart contract platform. TRON is one of the largest blockchain-based operating systems in the world with over 100M users. For more information visit https://tron.network/index?lng=en
IOTA #12 (MIOTA) IOTA is an open-source distributed ledger protocol that goes ‘beyond blockchain’ through its core invention of the blockless ‘Tangle’. The IOTA Tangle is a quantum-proof Directed Acyclic Graph, with no fees on transactions and no fixed limit on how many transactions can be confirmed per second in the network. Instead, throughput grows in conjunction with activity in the network; the more activity, the faster the network. IOTA is initially focused on serving as the backbone of the emerging Internet-of-Things (IoT). For more information visit https://www.iota.org/.
Binance Coin #13 (BNB) Binance coin is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain that is issued by the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange of the same name. BNB token holders can access cheaper trades and other rewards within the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, so it works as an advanced loyalty program as well as a standalone cryptocurrency. During its ICO a record 100 million Binance Coins were sold. Since then 5 million BNBs have been repurchased and burned by Binance. The plan is for the whole 100 million ICO tokens to be destroyed using 20 percent of quarterly profits four times a year to do so. For more information visit https://www.binance.com/en,
Basic Attention #46 (BAT) BAT is a token for a decentralized ad exchange. It compensates the browser user for attention while protecting the user’s privacy. BAT connects advertisers, publishers, and users and is denominated by relevant user attention, while removing social and economic costs associated with existing ad networks, e.g., fraud, privacy violations, and maladvertising. BAT and the associated technologies are seen as a future part of web standards, solving the important problem of monetizing publisher content while protecting user privacy. Augur #50 (REP) Augur is an open, global platform where anyone anywhere can create, monitor or trade in prediction markets about any topic. Think of it as an “Early Warning System” with the most accurate event forecasts, a potential “Google Search”, “Bloomberg Terminal” or “Reuters Terminal” for crowdsourced event forecasts. The software is comprised of smart contracts perpetually deployed on a blockchain network, which enables applications deployed to be immune to local outages while benefiting from the entire community’s security. All interactions with markets are communicated as database transactions between unique accounts powered by immutable software instructions. For more information visit https://www.augur.net
